Dear friends,
We do not know what to do,
but we are looking to you for help.
2 Chronicles 20:12If you missed Sunday's family service, which looked at the story of King Jehoshaphat you can catch up on the
YouTube channel.
These words from Jehoshaphat’s prayer (above) are a good reminder that when we don’t know what to do, we can turn to God and trust him. Jehoshaphat faced an overwhelming situation, but instead of relying on his own strength, he looked to the Lord for help.
The main service
next Sunday at 10:30am includes the Lord's Supper and we will be starting a new series on the Old Testament book of Ezra.
Sunday School also restarts this Sunday, meeting during the morning service, and will be looking at the birth of Moses.
Many of our small groups that look at the Bible are restarting this month. If you would like to join one or find out more, please contact Peter.
The online weekly
Prayer Meeting is on Zoom on Saturday at 9:00am for 40 minutes. To join, click

Peter is raising money for Suffolk Historic Churches by walking to 15 different Suffolk churches as part of the
Suffolk Historic Churches Trust Ride & Stride on Saturday 12 September. If you would like to support this cause, please see the sponsor form at the back of church.
On Sunday 27 September at 3:30pm, come and join us at St John’s for a good sing together, with a mixture of old and new songs, as we support the work of the
Bible Society. The church band and friends will lead the music, and we’ll also hear an update on the Bible Society’s work. Light refreshments will be served. There is no charge, although donations to support the Bible Society will be very welcome. Please invite family and friends – hope to see you there!
Our
Harvest Thanksgiving service will be on Sunday 4 October at 10:30am. Gifts of non-perishable food and other suitable items are very welcome and will be received during the service before being passed on to the Stowmarket and Area Foodbank. Please do come and join us as we give thanks to God for his goodness and provision.
In Christ,
Peter
