Dear friends,
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth
comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18If you missed Sunday's service and the talk on "If God is good, why do bad things happen?" you can watch it on the St John's YouTube channel.
In the words from Romans above, Paul doesn’t minimise the reality of suffering, but he reminds us that suffering will not have the final word. Our Christian hope is that one day God will put all things right.
The main service next Sunday at 10:30am is our monthly family service and we will be looking at King Jehoshaphat. There is also a short service of Holy Communion at 9:00am.
Many of our small groups that look at the Bible are restarting this month. If you would like to join one or find out more, please contact Peter (

The online weekly is on Zoom on Saturday at 9:00am for 40 minutes. To join, click

Peter is raising money for Suffolk Historic Churches by walking to 15 different Suffolk churches as part of the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust Ride & Stride on Saturday 12 September. If you would like to support this cause, please see the sponsor form at the back of church.
A reminder to PCC members - the next meeting is on Monday 7 September at 7:45pm in the Church Room.
On Sunday 27 September at 3:30pm, come and join us at St John’s for a good sing together, with a mixture of old and new songs, as we support the work of the Bible Society. The church band and friends will lead the music, and we’ll also hear an update on the Bible Society’s work. Light refreshments will be served. There is no charge, although donations to support the Bible Society will be very welcome. Please invite family and friends – hope to see you there!
In Christ,
Peter
