St John's News including Men's breakfast & Messy Church
Dear friends,

If you missed Sunday's service with the baptisms of Josh, Sarah, Zachariah and Ada, along with the story of King Josiah, you can watch on the YouTube channel.
The service next Sunday at 10:30am includes the Lord's Supper and Tom Hart will be speaking on Ephesians 5:1-20. Sunday School will be concluding the story of Joseph and his brothers.
The next Men's Breakfast takes place on Saturday 25 July (8:20am for 8:30am) in the Church Room. Tom has asked his friend Simon Pickering to come and talk to us. Please sign up at the back of church or email Peter (elmswellrector@gmail.com) if you would like to come.
Are you able to join a cleaning team for the church? At the moment we have a small firm cleaning the church for an hour every 2 weeks. Unfortunately, this costs us £2000 per year. It would be good if we could get together a rota of cleaners willing to clean the church in pairs once every 6 weeks (or less if we get more volunteers). This would help so much. High Five Bible Stories - Messy Church is taking place on Tuesdays at 10:30am during the summer holidays. Please think who you could invite to these mornings, which will be fun for all the family. They are an excellent way to introduce families to Jesus - all are welcome. If you are able to help with any of the mornings, please sign up at the back of church or contact Caroline (elmswelloutreach@gmail.com).
