It was so encouraging to see a packed church of all ages on Sunday for the St George's Parade Service.
Our all age service next Sunday at 10:30am will be reflecting on the nature of the resurrection body. There is also a short service of Holy Communion at 9am.
May is turning out to be an exciting month. Upcoming events include:
Sun 10 May 3:30pm - Messy Church Sing & Celebrate
Sun 24 May 5:30pm - Pentecost Songs of Praise (light tea from 4:45pm)
Sun 31 May 4:00pm - Messy Church with Family Tea
If you are able to help with making any sandwiches, sausage rolls or cakes for the light tea, which precedes the Songs of Praise service on 24 May, please sign up at the back of church.
A message from Caroline Long:
Our next Messy Church event for children and families, Sing and Celebrate, takes place in church on Sunday 10 May at 3.30pm.
If you are interested in coming along to help in any of a number of ways – music/singing, supporting with crafts, welcoming or serving the refreshments, please have a chat with Caroline or Peter.
We have some printed/laminated posters for the event and if you happen to have a good spot in a window, or maybe on a fence or driveway to help with the advertising these are available from Caroline. Thank you so much.
As part of the important Messy Church aspect of hospitality, we will be offering refreshments to all those who come along and we are hoping for some donations of cakes or cookies for the event. These can be either homemade or shop bought. If you feel able to help with this, please add your name to the list at the back of church. Any donated items can be dropped at church on the morning of 10 May or collection can be easily arranged.
