We’re looking for someone who is:
A committed, practising Christian with a love for sharing faith
Experienced in children's ministry and confident working with families
Creative, enthusiastic, and able to plan engaging events and activities
A good communicator with both children and adults
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Familiar with (or willing to learn about) Church of England contexts and safeguarding
Warm, approachable, reliable, prayerful, and supportive of others
Experience working with schools or community groups is essential, and confidence with technology and social media is desirable.
Key Details
Hours: 10 hours per week (including some evenings/weekends and regular attendance at Sunday services)
Salary: £16 per hour
Contract: 3-year fixed term
Location: Home working + St John’s Church, Elmswell
Holidays: 25 days pro-rata + bank holidays + discretionary days
Start date: December 2025
DBS: Enhanced DBS required
Pension: Eligible for Church of England Pension Builder scheme after probation
There is a genuine occupational requirement for the post-holder to be a practising Christian.
