If you missed Sunday's service and the talk on Luke 7:11-22, you can watch it on the St John's YouTube channel.

The service this coming Sunday includes the Baptism of Charlie Hilson. There will also be a short celebration of the Lord's Supper at the end. The reading is Luke 7:18-35.

This Sunday (31 August) at 7:00pm at The Rectory, Peter will be talking about why we can trust the New Testament to be accurate. If you would, like to come, please email elmswellrector@gmail.com

The SHCT Ride & Stride takes place on Saturday 13 September. If you would like to take part to raise money for Suffolk Churches, information is also at the back of church. I am unable to take part in the Ride & Stride this year, as I am walking the Portuguese Camino (160 miles). However, I would be pleased to receive sponsorship for this instead to raise money for SHCT - the form is the back of church.

Our plans for a children/families worker are progressing well. We are delighted to have been awarded a grant for £4,000 from Benefact Trust. On 15 September, we hope to have the main grant funding approved by the diocese at the Growing in God Panel meeting at 2:30pm. Please pray for a positive outcome. We will then be able to move onto appointing.
