Dear friends,
"Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God
like a little child will never enter it."
Mark 10:15We have received this
this lovely letter and a photograph (below) from Phearak, who we sponsor in Cambodia.
Since COVID, the St John’s churchwardens have picked up a range of tasks that would be better distributed more evenly among the congregation. As we do not wish for our wardens to be overburdened and as many hands make light work, we are seeking helpers to work with our wardens. God calls us a church to be one body with each part helping out the others so the body may thrive. We would be grateful if you could please prayerfully consider if the Lord is calling you to assist in one or more of the areas detailed in
this document. If you would like more information, please speak to Peter.
If you missed the service on Sunday, you can catch up on our
YouTube channel.
The main reading at next Sunday is Mark 10:17-31. The Sunday School will be looking at the parable of the 4 Soils.
On Sunday 23 March at 3:15pm there is a fundraising event for Mercy Ships with poems, stories, and "retro-praise" with the church band. Refreshments provided. Entry is free, but donations to the work of Mercy Ships will be appreciated. Mercy Ships deploys hospital ships to some of the poorest countries in the world, delivering vital, free healthcare to people in desperate need – find out more

In Christ,
