St John's News - 20 August 2024

Dear friends,

Services
The funeral of Tony Chaplin will take place at St John's on Monday 2 September at 1:00pm.

The service next Sunday includes the Lord's Supper and the main reading is Acts 9:31-43. If you missed last Sunday's service, you can watch it on our YouTube channel.

Request for help
Can you help at Elmfest (the Elmswell autumn fair) on Saturday 7 September? Any help transporting tables etc, setting up/clearing away, or being available during the day would be appreciated. We aim to have some information about the local churches, opportunities for people to chat and some craft activities.

We could also do with one or two more volunteers to man the church on Saturday 14 September for the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust Ride & Stride event. If you would like to sponsor Peter or take part in the sponsored cycle ride or walk to raise money for Suffolk Churches, information is also at the back of church.

Prayer
