There are 2 services this coming Sunday. There is a shorter service of Holy Communion at 9:00am (with no hymns). At 10:30am, our main service is the all age family service, when we will be hearing all about Philip’s encounter with an important man from Ethiopia.
Elmfest (the Elmswell autumn fair) is at The Blackbourne on Saturday 7 September between 12:00 and 17:00. Please come along to support this community event. If you are available to help at the Christians Together In Elmswell stall, please let Peter know. We will also need some help transporting tables etc, setting up/clearing away, and people available during the day. We aim to have some information about the churches, opportunities for people to chat and some Sunday School craft activities.
The Suffolk Historic Churches Trust Ride & Stride is on event is on Saturday 14 September. It would be great to have the church open during the day - if you are able to spend an hour or two at the church to welcome visitors, please sign up on the rota at the back of church. If you would like to take part in the sponsored cycle ride or walk to raise money for Suffolk Churches, information is also at the back of church.
You may have heard that Tony Chaplin went to be with the Lord last Tuesday at 12:30pm. Please pray for all his family and friends at this time.
