St John's News - 12 July

Dear friends,

Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Psalm 34:8

A huge thank to everyone who worked so hard inside the church and outside in the churchyard on Saturday morning. The church and grounds look amazing. Thank you also to Nutz and Boltz and friends for a lovely evening of entertainment on Saturday evening and for helping to raise money for the work of St John's.

If you missed Sunday's service, you can watch it on our YouTube channel.

Next Sunday (18 June) at 10:30am, we will be celebrating the work of The Friends of St John's. Catherine Joughin will be preaching on Psalm 122 and all are welcome to stay for lunch afterwards in the church. A range of The Friends of St John's merchandise will be available to buy - in particular, do purchase a copy of the new church guidebook.

On Monday 19 June at 7:30pm at St Mary's Woolpit, our churchwardens will be making their declarations at the annual Archdeacon's Visitation Service. Please come along to support them at this special service if you are able.

Please join us online at the weekly church prayer meeting. It is on Zoom on Saturday at 9:00am for 40 minutes. To join, click here or, load Zoom and use Meeting ID: 685 295 1296 and Password: 816262.

In Christ

Peter
