Dear friends,

Matthew 4:4 / Deuteronomy 8:3

Sunday Services

If you missed Gavin's brilliant sermon on John 18:28-40, you can watch last Sunday's service on our YouTube channel. This coming Sunday is an all age service and will include the baptism of Brogan Edwards.

Growing in faith

Looking for a helpful resource to help you in your daily walk with God? Lectio 365 is a free daily devotional resource for mobile phones and tablets that helps you pray the Bible every day. Tune into God's presence and peace by slowing down, meditating on scripture, listening to God and praying for 10 minutes at the beginning and end of each day. It has been developed by the 24-7 prayer movement and you can download it from the app store on your device. More information can be found here.

Soul, a series looking at the basics of the Christian faith, continues at The Rectory this Sunday at 7:00pm for 90 minutes. All are welcome to come and join us, even if you were unable to make previous ones. A drink and dessert or cake will be provided. Helping others

Mike Schofield is walking up Snowdon on 17th March to raise funds for the Elmswell Food Bank. If you are able to support him in this, his Just Giving page can be found on the following link https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/michael-schofield-3. Alternatively any donations for him can be accepted at church.

If you know of anyone in need please do remind them about the food bank here in Elmswell at the Tavern. It is open Monday and Friday mornings, from 9.30 to 11.30 and does not need a referral from any agency. Anyone is welcome if they need help. The good bank provides tinned and packet foods, plus some toiletries and cleaning materials.

Recently, Janet Helyar spoke to us about Tools With A Mission. TWAM collects unwanted usable tools, refurbishes them, sorts them into trade tool kits and sends them to the developing world for livelihood creation. If you would like to find out more, you can visit their web site: https://www.twam.uk/

Friends of St John's

The Friends of St John's will be holding their annual meeting with tea and coffee at St John's on 25 March at 10:00am. The new Church Guide will be launched at this meeting and will be available to buy for £5.00, alongside other Friends merchandise.

In Christ
