News from the Pews - 8 June 2021
Dear friends,
An opening prayer:
Heavenly Father, the past months have been full of times when we have felt helpless and week. We pray for hope - hope for a better future, hope for a better life, hope for your Kingdom to grow. Some say that the sky is at its darkest just before the light. We pray for your light to shine forth, Lord. May we be filled with your light from head to toe and, as we bask in your glory, reflect your light in this dark world. Amen.
What's on?
As we recover from the last 15 months, please remember the special service of Reflection, Healing and Wholeness on Sunday 20 June at 5:00pm. This service will enable us to spend time engaging with God to seek his healing touch, his light and the hope he brings.
This coming Sunday we continue to meet back in our historic church building. Do come along - there is plenty of social distancing and it is good to worship together in person as the body of Christ. We will be looking at Romans 12 in our service and celebrating the Lord's Supper together.

Saturday prayer meeting
Please note that due to the high cost of Zoom subscriptions, Saturday's prayer meeting may be accessed here: https://meet.jit.si/stjohnselmswell
This will use software called Jitsi Meet, which is like Zoom, but at no cost even for online meetings over 30 minutes.
When asked, please allow the software to access your microphone and camera.
If using a tablet or mobile, you may use the option to install the Jitsi Meet app (follow the instructions) or scroll down and access the meeting directly through your internet browser.
