News from the Pews - 12 January 2021

Dear friends,

As we face this period of lockdown, let us remember the St John's verse for 2021:

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18

Later this month, on 30 January, our Variety and Spice evening is back! Due to the current restrictions, this obviously needs to be online rather than in St John's. However, we will have all the usual songs, comedy sketches, jokes and poetry. We're asking for a donation of just £6 per person (under 16s free). The fun starts at 7:00pm. Please do join us on Facebook or www.stjohnselmswell.org.uk and invite your friends, neighbours, family, etc! It's always an excellent evening with lots of laughs. Donations can be made through Virgin Giving on the front of our web site, www.stjohnselmswell.org.uk, or cash in an envelope through the Rectory door (please mark it as "Variety & Spice").
